Let me explain: I have just ordered the new Canon EOS 5D mark II DSLR camera. It will replace my old Canon EOD 10D that I bought back in 2003. When I buy an expensive camera like this one, I want to have a quality lens as well. So I ordered the Canon 24-105 f4 lens to go with it.

The EOS 5D II has a 21 megapixel CMOS sensor. Since the old 10D only had 6.3 megapixel, you can understand I also had to buy some new storage. So, besides buying the camera and the lens, I also bought a new memory card, the Lexar Professional UDMA 16GB CompactFlash 300X Speed.

The EOS 5D II has no built in flash so I ended up buying the Canon Speedlite 580 EX II. And the GP PowerBank V800 with 4 x GP 2700 AA NiMH batteries to go into the Speedlite.

To carry this expensive equipment around, I got the Case Logic SLRC5 from Santa. This photobag looks great, is compact and the patented Hammock Suspension System provides more protection for my hardware than any other bag does.

Now I am still thinking about buying a tripod and maybe even an extra lens. This proofs my point that every purchase automatically generates a follow up purchase. Just like that.
